ACP-EU Cooperation after 2020: Towards a New Partnership?

Since the middle of the 20th century the European Union has maintained a special relationship with a group of countries in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific region (the ACP). This ‘Partnership Agreement’ will expire in 2020. In the advisory report ‘ACP-EU Cooperation after 2020: Towards a New Partnership?’ the AIV argues that unwavering efforts are needed to conclude a follow-up agreement. The main focus should be on enhancing the political dialogue between the ACP and the EU at higher, collective level.
