The IGC 2000 and Beyond: Towards a European Union of Thirty Member States

In the AIV’s opinion, the EU and the member states must give careful consideration to the Union’s institutional structure for the coming decades. To do this it is necessary to draw up a future scenario for the EU and its institutions which will do justice to the ideals that underpin the process of European integration and will enable the Union to continue functioning with some 30 member states.
